Ms Ta Thi Khanh Van joins MDRI since 2014 starting as Research Analyst and now she is a Research Associate with main field of agricultural economics and development issues. She has been involved in a wide range of research projects and consulting tasks, including commodity market analysis, assessing capacity of agricultural and rural stocks for renewable energy, investigating the household economic behavior change given their socio-economic alteration. Ms Van also gained substantial amount of experience in research project management and coordination such as developing the overall framework for research projects, quality control of the research or consulting outputs, developing TOR for different project positions as well as engaging in field survey management. She is flexible and capable of working with different agencies, such as international experts, national consultants, private sectors and government officers at different levels.
MOST RECENT PROJECTS AND EXPERIENCES
Some of project she has involved recently including Technical assistance for Irish Aid Civil Society support in Vietnam, Cambodia and Lao PDR; Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of eye care among students, parents and teachers; the operational research: Impact of glasses provision on glass wearing and educational outcome (cRCT); and Quantitative socio-economic survey for Emission Reduction – program Provinces area; Analysis of baseline survey of Central Highland Poverty Reduction Project. Before completing the Master degree in Economics at University of New England, Australia in 2013, she graduated the Bachelor degree from University of Sydney in 2005 with Major of Natural Resource and Environment Management, and had worked in Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agricultural and Rural Development for 5 years.
