Mekong Development Research Institute has been commissioned by DFAT to undertake the Public Opinion Survey 2017. The survey covering 5000 respondents from 10 provinces all over Vietnam was conducted over a period of 3 months during late 2016 – early 2017. The survey is instrumental in providing a representative picture of the Vietnamese people’ perception of Australia representation in the country, its activities as well as their view on multiple key issues in the Vietnam’s society. This will provide essential findings to assist DFAT in designing and implementing its activities in Vietnam, thereby enhancing meaningful cooperation between the two countries as well as improving the image of Australia in the mind of Vietnamese society.
