Profile

Phung Thanh Thu is the Institute’s Research Associate. Thu graduated from Middlebury College, Vermont, US with Double Honors in Mathematics and Economics. Thu possesses a strong background in development economics and econometrics. Having lived and studied in renowned academic institutes from Singapore, France, and the U.S, she has acquired invaluable skills and knowledge from different parts of the world. After ten years of studying abroad, Thu has been working as a researcher and consultant in the development field in Vietnam. Throughout her three years in the field, she has enriched her knowledge in development economics through taking charge in a number of important development economic projects under the guidance of senior researchers. Thu demonstrates strong analytical skills and a quantitative background in social sciences.
