Profile
Long has five years of experience working at MDRI as a researcher cum data analyst. He is involved in all stages of the research project implementation from survey planning to report preparation. Long has employed his strong background in economics into practice by successfully implementing numerous large-scale household studies and randomized controlled trials, in which he contributes greatly to the quantitative data collection and analysis. His qualitative research skills have also been developed through several socio-economic impact assessments with a focus on gender. His fieldwork experience provided him with the opportunities to work with respondents from various ethnic groups, poor and near-poor households, children and adults, through which he gained an empirical insight of the poverty alleviation and inclusive development in Vietnam. Besides development economics, Long is interested in soccer, history, culture, and plays guitar as a hobby.
